I worked as a program manager of one of the group home run by a not-for-profit organization. The group home capacity was 12 individuals with all range of developmental disabilities. The Six Sigma project that I identified includes understaffing that was increasingly costly and caused exhaustion with burnout to Direct Care Workers (DCW) from due to the mandatory overtime. Also during this time allegation of abuse toward individuals and work related injuries were at the most high, causing the medical spending for work related to double. As manager, it was my responsibility to make sure that my group home met the parameters coverage, safety measures and precautions were taken to keep the group home (both staff and individuals/clients safe) and yet to operate within the budget. However, the administration disconnect was vivid, because the overtime was increasingly becoming costly, overall budgeting spending was high and the drivers of these spending were not addressed rather bandaged or postponed. For example, the administration thought of controlling overtime by only allow me to approve 10 hours of over time per employee within the pay period, yet to cover the parameters. Unrealistic approach to meet the required state and federal compliance by the regulatory agencies; to meet these compliances I needed at least 2 new employees (DCWs) to overhaul the system and consume all the overtime, ovoid burnout, zero injury, maintain safety and drop down the budgetary cost and spending.

In pretense that I’m promoted as a new manager for a large corporation that does not use Six Sigma; I will follow the 8 steps explaining on how I would go about this potential “launch” the Six Sigma and keeping it running successfully. First of all I will need the competence of key concept of Six Sigma practices and role models. This is to acknowledge that Six Sigma is not just a notion without realistic human capital investment. Because human capital investment is depending on human and human are unique one another, so as the key practices and rode models of Six Sigma in any business bare the same unique status as human capital because businesses and organizations are made up by unique individuals. This is to say that what is working at a Wall Street Corporation certainly might not work at any or some Main Street Banks although both corporations they may have similar goals, objectives and mission, investing capital, selling stocks, creditors and so on. Nevertheless, what a new manager who want to launch Six Sigma and lead it run successfully is apply successful best practice benchmarks that have been used by other businesses in similar scenarios, themes, problems or business practices and personalize them as list of key leadership actions to Six Sigma as successful start-up in building a long life integrated management system. {Pande, Neuman and Cavanagh, p. 109 and 110}

I this session of week 4 to 6, I learned that  HRM I learn that it is important for HRM to understand that its sole responsibilities is to manage employees relations, employees development, career development and advocating employees’ general wellbeing within the organization, while serving the organization to reach its strategic goals effectively and efficiently because these functions are intertwine in productivity and achieving organizational goals. This responsibility by HRM starts day one after employee(s) is selected for hiring, granted position, by socializing, orienting and training as employee(s) development, the process of helping new employees to adapt their organizations and work responsibilities; and after employee(s) is grated a permanent job offer now HRM can focus on career development by looking at the long-term career effectiveness and success of the employee(s) and the organizational strategic goals (DeCenzo & Robbins, (2010) p. 184 and 211). For example at my organization we do have very intense orientation and filtration due to state and federal compliance regulations that include FBI background investigation/clearance, some can easily get discouraged because cause of the compensation, but those who can manage to get permanent employment, 6 months after orientation, they qualify for $1,000 tuition reimbursement each semester for full time students in the approved fields; this is a very good career development program that can attract experienced and possible high skilled professionals that can benefit the organization. In regards to UPS Community Internship Program (CIP) as on Case 8-B I learned the importance of HRM to consider socialization skills, here UPS used CIP training its managers to socialize with residents in the communities as a way to attain skills of finding out workable solutions to transportation, housing, education and heal care problems that the community member endures, diversifying the management; and lesson here is the successful HRM expectations to CIP training graduates to be able to listen and become empathetic toward employees because now they know what they are enduring (DeCenzo & Robbins, (2010), p. 205-206).

So far in this course, HRMT600, personal learning were such as strategic HRM goals (p. 31-4), challenges, changes and evolution of HRM through globalization, cultures and technology (p. 4,5, 11), and the ability to distinguish amid functions of HRM, i.e. at the moment in this class I have clearly understood the employee discipline, and recruitment and selection process. In the employees’ disciplinary action, I have learned a great deal of dilemma between moral and legal issues. Of course, all the above and HRM functions as employer and organization management as a whole are expected to work under a certain set of rules and regulations (laws) developed by local, state and federal government. The most vicarious areas that I have become more enlightened from include the laws that HRM practice directly/discriminatory practices are such as, the Civil Rights Acts of 1866, 1964 and 1991, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), American With Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOA), Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978, Affirmative Action, The Family and Medical Leave Act of (FMLA) 1993 and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) of 1994 (DeCenzo and Robbins, (2012), p. 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63 and 64). I learned that a successful HRM professional need to be a good adviser and liaison to the organization’s management and set policies and entire HRM practice within these set of laws, because law suits have negative repercussions on organization and need to be avoided whenever necessary. Understanding these laws has helped me, as a newly appointed HRM professional, to avoid possible legal and ethical conundrum. I have applied many of the laws to my personal learning because, recently, a staff person developed a nervous breakdown condition that, as a manager, I felt that she was not capable of performing her job sufficiently, but based on the Union contract and her job description there was not a clause that indicated I would be able to terminate her employment without legal consequences. Therefore, I started by progressive disciplinary action whenever there was an occurrence, such as, tardiness, and insubordination.

Discrimination In America? The Alternative Is Worse.

In my own country, region/province, town, village,  neighbors my blood are discriminating me because my mom is of the same tribe, Chagga-but from different area than my father's-my home, let alone all sorts of discrimination Africans endure from the within,  by fellow Africans/relatives,  at at the same time someone is dare to tell me discrimination is bad in AMERICA?  Wait a minute!

My concern to you is If we, Valerian Family, do not stand up, firm, focused, vigilante and hold our ground dearly to take every measure possible to straighten our stand at home and our values, we will always be forced, by both outsiders and insiders, to revisit the very issues that are intended to destroy us i.e. our borders, our land, our home, our rights, our spiritual beliefs, our belongings, our freedom our our legacy for generations to come. Devil is the master liar, manipulator, receptor and illusionists. But our Baptism values tells us to ignore all these things from the devil and deny him any right to access us, moreover, to chase him out.  So we Valerian Family are chasing you out "devil". Happy New Year, 2015 to you all. Let this year of 2015 be prosperous and full of blessings. Let it bring more of the peace of mind that can nourish both our body and souls. Above all, may you all and your loved ones be blessed by God Jehovah as always.

As living and breathing human being, i believe in the New Year resolutions. I also strive to keep these resolutions practical and alive. However, i would like to admit that keeping up with the new year resolutions all year round is the most difficult thing to do. I'm speaking from the experiences I have ever encountered.

We, Black People, Aren't Monogamous

Liberal/Leftist/Democrat leaders are somehow fine with the rhetoric that only police are bad and racist, some how these incidents and black people are monogamous. Something that is not true.

But, surprisingly, these leaders are depending on the same police to keep them and their loved ones safe 24/7. for example, recently Rev. Al Sharpton plead to the FBI and NYC cops that he has received threats from unknown people. He want the cops to protect him and go find these unknown people. How ironic? He was matching, the so called peaceful match, shouting that "we want cops dead, when? Right now".  Now you got what you asked for Mr. Sharpton. Don't run away from what you asked for.

To live Life is to constantly acquire new information; ifo regenerates, recycles and reevents itself very rapidly. What you know and works today may not necessarily work or be viable tomorrow.

In contrast, "two wrongs dont make it right". Judge the person by the color of his/her eyes, otherwise color in human race has no significance. I never seen a White, Black or Blue or Yellow Person. Unless I'm color blind in real life. Can you imagine seen a White or Black or Yellow or Blue person. I will run away faster than a rocket. So color that are not of our eyes are significant. I got brown eyes, i know people with black, hazel, green and yellow eyes.

People are so lost, they want to change the world, but cant even change themselves. If this case was only in Florida's local news like most crimes, no one would pay enough attention.

Obama Administration & Ebola In Cotrast

Obama and this administration is saying that State Department to ban Travel Visa to countries with Ebola will hurt the feelings and harm relations with these countries. 

Mind you that this is the same administration rushed into premature judgement to cancel flights in Israel, the top #1 ally of America. 

Unbelievable that the contrast of Ebola is displying such reckless on this administration at its core. Truth be told. Go Figure!

NB: Meanwhile, Africans in these countries that are severely affected by the Ebola are blaming the West/America for bring the Ebola to these African countries.  I bet you these Africans heard that from their Witch Doctor, local Medice Man. It is like catch 22. 

As an African Diaspora, I always tell people to do not feel sorry for the Africans because they love their life just like people from other continents do.  Look, Africa, after WWII has received donation than any other continents. Where did it go and how did it benefit them? They are still in their old ways and will aways be. 

It is like Africans to come to America or Europe or Asia and try to tell you to chanfe and adapt Frican ways and do as Africans. You will say that is craziness.  Right? Then what make you think that Africans are not saying all the West is saying and doing is craziness? Go Figure!

Motherhood and fatherhood (Parenting) is divine privilege granted onto us all by the creator. It is sentimental and most precious experience. 2014 Winter Snow Storms

 The Feb 13th to 14th 2014  Snow storm that brought us the tenths of inches of snow. Let alone the tenth of inches from the previous back to back storms that was already on the ground. Thank you for your energy and enthusiasm you have shown. You have energized us Valerian Family. We are delighted to have you as one of us and I missed talking to him, Valerian Sr., on the phone every Sunday as we used to. R.I.P. Baba Valerian. Yeah man. Auntie Flo and her followers are ramping up the psycholgical war-fare. But this will end up to the Tanzanian Supreme Court and may be ICJ. You said it very well. Land is not candy one can give another in secretes without following proper channel of the law. The problem to her is to find the dead and verify every information she has and the burden of proof is on her. She can rally all of them but none of them can answer a damn question if I ask them, So let her go. This is hatred at its core. I cannot imagine how hateful this Auntie has turn to be. It is work of the devil. Times are testing and people have got to accept Jesus as their savoior. How can someone try to get what does not belong to him or her like that. I thought that the time for Chagga Tribal Traditions that surpressing woman (Widow) and the surviving children has passed, but i gues I was wrong. We are victims of this old tired up tradition now. I guess common sense has lot its truck in today's world. She is very confident, we gotta give her some kudos for that. Kudos to the followers too.

Let me see how they are going to kick us out of there. I cannot wait to see how. I will laugh so bad. How is the messanger going to say? How can someone foregn come to the home that we were born and raised and still own to tell us that we gotta go because Flo and Crew own the home now? I cannot wait to see that messange facing angry 6 men, grown men and their family with our Queeen, my mother telling us it is time to ramp it up, pack up and vacate. I cannot wait that day and a minute. I mean, even Valerian III, a four Year old, who has been there once will not understand these trumps and clowns. She is is really lost and she need prayers. Im not laughing, she need prayers. Everybody, please pray for her to come into her senses, her supporters too. I dont know what cool-aid they drunk but that must be a strong one and heavey one too.

I would like to conclude that Auntie Florentina, Kaka Ben and some few of their followers are just small number of people that clinging to these Chagga People outdated Tribal Traditional mentality/practices that opress widows and family members of the decesed closed relatives. To Valerian Family they truly got an up-hill battle, as you eloquently explained. These are not Christians and dont know the Christ as Babu Balthazar and Bibi Manyaki did. QUESTION, ANYONE SEEN THESE PEOPLE PRAYING OR PRACTICING CHRISTIANITY IN THEIR ACTS? please present the community with evidence, because My Auntie and so far, Kaka Ben are the Anti-Christ Family member I have known by both actions and their own Verbal Admisions. It is just that they are surrounded by very hypocritical small minor who wont tell them the truth, because some how these few, small minorities, benefit from them one way or the other or are scared of them.

On the other hand, I will say that they like to hear what they want to hear and thy are living in the buble, but the bubble is about to burst. Remember when We Went To See Auntie in Shanty Town and what he said about Little Patrik coming to NY for church and how she was disapointed for that? How can a parent figure be disapointed on a young man she calls her son be involved with the church? She was ranting about it for long and it is not the first time i heard her saying anti-chirst things. Let's be honest here, it is satanic and devilsh by nature. The same force used to denouce Christ like activities, is leading her to denounce my father Valerian as her blood brother and her desire to chase my mother at the very house and home she help to build with her husband-Valerian and renovaleted/restored by us-Their Children; and it is the same force strengthen her hatred tward all humanity and mankind. I call upon the Blood Of Jesus to stop these Evil Forces using her, Kaka Ben and their followers.

God has done many miracles and this is one of them. Belive me they will be saved by the Blood of Jesus asap, if they accept Jesus as the Savior and the Lord. However, they better keep their distance all together because emotions are way too high for a human being to handle. This is dispeakable in this day and age. Amen they will come to God and amen God will cleanse them, amen they will repent, amen we will maintain boundaries and keep our outonomy at our home. Free and peaceful at our home at last, thanks God Almighty.!

His legacy is the greatness of our society and people who cherish what he dedicated his entire life for. He was great man and did great things. He feared no one but God and he spoke "the truth". He did not live his life over the worldly staged soundbites that clings in to the human fear and dogma that make human being to live life and act like robots. 

He was one courageous freeman and leader who relentlessly fought for what he believed. His convictions on Civil rights, Freedom, Democracy, war Against Poverty and Equal Justice System  are his legacy we have to live up to and pass on to the coming generations. Dr. King, you are my hero and certainly hero of the many and the unknown. For that we thank God Almighty for your legacy.

It is wise to start filtering the welfare system, both corporate and social welfare. The looseness on the welfare system (corporate and social) is making some recipients to act-like and becoming vultures. It is biblical, "thou shalt not eat if thou dont work" and "thou shall be thrown to jail until he pays the last cent he owes". 

Government is of the people by the people and for the people. Founder never intended to form a government that is like Jesus who came to save the world or like God who we are obliged to worship. 

As Reagan said, get the gov. out of peoples' ways. Until we stop to worshiping government like it is God and not treating it like it is Jesus our savior, we are still doomed because first we are breaking the fist commandment, second we are becoming captives of the very institution that should and has to be ours and not v/s.

The US Government In Shut-Down Mode & Soon To Default, Over Obamacare?!

Constitutional responsibilities are Congress to pass bills and president to sign them into law and not vice versa. So if congress don’t pass the laws, such as funding the government for already passed and signed into law bills, Obamacare in this front, is not president's malpractice here, because no bill is passed l, CR to fund government, and constitution don’t give the president an absolute power to run the government without congressional approval. Then, how is this governmental shut down become presidential blame? GOP got us in this messy and they need to get us and themselves out of it asap.

The costly looming US government shut-down is becoming real every day. The US Congress number one job is to pass the bills to authorize government payment of its bills, which of course are resulting from approved US congress spending bills. To shut down the entire US Government because a fraction, the minority of the minorities-conservatives, of the government doesn’t like them as law of the land is ludacris and disturbing. Now to add the coming debt ceiling in the equation is getting even darker because it is starting to look like hostage taking negotiations and anything can happen when you have such spinning of roles.

President Clinton Aids Obama Marketing the ObamaCare, Obama's signature domestic achievement. While i disagree on how President Obama has marketing and selling the Affordable Care Act known as Obamacare, i agree with the approach that President Clinton is taking. He is using his skills and outreach he has gained and done in Africa and the world for decades to help Americans to understand the importance of the Affordable Care Act. This is the best thing that can happen to the Obama Presidency. If President Clinton and Bush have made such a tremendous success in Africa, as far as healthcare is concerned, they can make even better results for America. Africa is way rigid and undeveloped compare to America, and together, these two former presidents have put a dent in the spread and killings of HIV AIDS and Malaria. They have saved millions of lives and are among the world's heroes alive today. So, their experience in the healthcare and involvement in the US domestic policies as former presidents could help greatly on how to improve and deliver quality health care here at home. The infrastructure is there the will is there they just need to market it and sell it to the American people.

American Exceptionalism Is Not A Myth

Since Russian President Putin published his pathetic remarks that the world is at danger for America been considered to be an exceptional nation, many have wondered if this is at all true? Look, it is a Russian president we are talking about here. The leader of the soul of USSR, Russia, that was so resistant to America and her freedom to the world. Russia and the then USSR, which proved itself to continue to be the stronghold of communism, socialism and dictatorship that is suppressing and devastated Africa, East Europe, Far East Asian and South America is not expected to be credible counterpart of America when come to things like freedom and democracy. Facts indicate that Russia is the new bottle containing the old wine, USSR.

Today we are commemorating the 12th year after the 9/11 terror attacks. The inhuman acts of mankind at the homeland since the Pearl Harbor attacks. "In God We Trust" and "United We Stand" indeed.

There is no single act of terror and or one man kind act can shake this great nation of all;. likewise no one or an act that can alter the DNA of her peoples and the belief they have in common good, dignity, individual rights, democracy, freedom, liberty and pursue of happiness, while perfecting her greatest union.

Hence, it is not by mistake that America, the "New World", is home of immigrants and the braves, and the exceptional place that all mankind find common goals, purposes and togetherness.

Thanks be to the founding fathers, the greatest generations before us for keeping the American exceptional-ism spirit alive and well, those who paid the ultimatum price serving and defending this nation, our brave men and women who are serving both here at home and oversees, and The American people all together.
