Advice To Gen Y & Z

I am speaking in a position of advice, experience, and objectivity on holy Ibrahimic teachings and religions, i.e., Quran, Torah, and Bible. First of all, it is imperative to put in about the 1500+ years of the holy Torah, the (old testament of the holy Bible), the holy Bible, and the holy Quran, respectively, which have not changed. Hence, we have changed from generation to generation, so the interpretations of these holy books have changed. Each generation brings about its own changes, thus, interpretations of these sacred holy books, which impact the society of each generation immensely. Furthermore, the politics and politicians around these ancient great books have changed; sadly, some parts/topics have been maliciously and pervertly reinterpreted to fit certain extreme and selfish agendas. Therefore, as young adults and inexperienced fellows in this centuries saga, it is not difficult to get swept into emotional reactionary from highly choreographed or charismatic deceptive stance without considering lingering facts, which is a situation that could lead to an atrocity in and self, in the name of being against atrocities or self-destructive choices impeding a promising future. Let me put this phenomenon in vivid contemporaneous perspective. Most Gen Y & Z know what an Arab Spring is, and ISIS is the perpetrator. Most young people were deceived and lured into this extremist and terrorist group in the name of doing good things. They trust their masterminders. Only until they found themselves in the gangs and land controlled by ISIS and witnessed their human right being stripped, coerced, and forced to commit a multitude of human atrocities and their videos of such be displayed on the world stage, killing and burning alive fellow human beings on the cages. To that, I plea that you may sadly find yourselves being deceived, exploited, coerced, and manipulated through bits and parts of these great books to unjustly invoke your emotions and subjectively react to such a sophisticated matter that needs objectivity and higher wisdom. Your young minds, experiences, history, knowledge, and wisdom of the subject matter, given the complexity of Abrahamic religions and the matters of sacred land/regions, you might fall into the untold trap. They are not targeting you by mistake; they are malicious predators. My outcry to you is that such a judgment could permanently define the cause of your life and the lives of people, possibly people you love and endure to love you. Advisely, matters of such emotional subjects require objectivity and constructive analysis from centuries of historical events. Undoubtedly, your generation has become the target of these emotional matters. Hence, with such responsibilities come under greater scrutiny as well. Therefore, rest assured that always doing the right thing, as these great books call upon all of us, is the best decision in life. As Abraham's children, we are expected to love one another and do to one another as we wish others to do unto us. What great principles of life and pillars of civilization as we know it! I wish you take upon your responsibilities for the greater good, and you, too, get to live long enough to weigh on your part in greater society and pass the torch of our forefather father Abrahma and civilization with free will without reservation or mental evasion. If you are an intellectual, you are a critical analyzer and thus can render and consume constructive criticism. Millennials/Gen Z & Y, do not solely lend your entire minds to your teachers/professors only, without verification and an intellectual curiosity for evidence-based alternatives and comparisons, and expect to be intellectuals simultaneously. No, because of a lack of critical thinking skills, you will harbor and harvest the worst of mankind's robotic nature humanity has ever seen. We human beings are human, capable of both bad and good, so as teachers and experts too. Hence, as civilized beings, we learn to subdue our desires and passions and improve our civilization tenets. We are citizens and are compelled to uphold our citizenship through humanitarian morals, ethics, and self-governing principles of our lands, and not barbarism, terrorism, authoritarianism, and such. It is adhering to the call of Jehovah from the get go, since the beginning of the time.  Let this year, 2016, redeem our hearts and souls, yet allow us to assume our place on this mother earth as preparation to our final destination, in heaven, with our Heavenly Father.   Let this year remind us all the importance of soul food that nourish the spirit, as it is of the importance as the food of body that nourish our bodies, which ultimately are the great temple of God housing our souls.  Let the minds and hearts of all the people from all the corners of the world have a commonality in this earthly togetherness be reign in our hearts, minds, blood and flesh.   Let those doubt you, by empowerment of Emmanuel, be self corrected.  Let his fulfillment of his scripture, the Trinity, manifest in our souls and bodies. As he is our Heavenly Father who sent his only begotten Son, Christ our savior, and yet manifest into us as Holy Spirit to aid us be saved at last.   For that we say "Amen", and 2016 shall be the better year yet because we accept our sole purpose and responsibilities with obedience to Jehovah.

What President Mugabe of Zimbabwe has been saying and doing is the fallacy and idiotic propaganda to the low informed or uniformed constituency. I personally visited Zimbabwe when Zim $ was stronger as SA Rand and the country was shipping to overseas and African countries than now. I worked as a program manager of one of the group home run by a not-for-profit organization. The group home capacity was 12 individuals with all range of developmental disabilities. The Six Sigma project that I identified includes understaffing that was increasingly costly and caused exhaustion with burnout to Direct Care Workers (DCW) from due to the mandatory overtime. Also during this time allegation of abuse toward individuals and work related injuries were at the most high, causing the medical spending for work related to double. As manager, it was my responsibility to make sure that my group home met the parameters coverage, safety measures and precautions were taken to keep the group home (both staff and individuals/clients safe) and yet to operate within the budget. However, the administration disconnect was vivid, because the overtime was increasingly becoming costly, overall budgeting spending was high and the drivers of these spending were not addressed rather bandaged or postponed. For example, the administration thought of controlling overtime by only allow me to approve 10 hours of over time per employee within the pay period, yet to cover the parameters. In pretense that I’m promoted as a new manager for a large corporation that does not use Six Sigma; I will follow the 8 steps explaining on how I would go about this potential “launch” the Six Sigma and keeping it running successfully. First of all I will need the competence of key concept of Six Sigma practices and role models. This is to acknowledge that Six Sigma is not just a notion without realistic human capital investment. Because human capital investment is depending on human and human are unique one another, so as the key practices and rode models of Six Sigma in any business bare the same unique status as human capital because businesses and organizations are made up by unique individuals. I this session of week 4 to 6, I learned that  HRM I learn that it is important for HRM to understand that its sole responsibilities is to manage employees relations, employees development, career development and advocating employees’ general wellbeing within the organization, while serving the organization to reach its strategic goals effectively and efficiently because these functions are intertwine in productivity and achieving organizational goals. This responsibility by HRM starts day one after employee(s) is selected for hiring, granted position, by socializing, orienting and training as employee(s) development, the process of helping new employees to adapt their organizations and work responsibilities; and after employee(s) is grated a permanent job offer now HRM can focus on career development by looking at the long-term career effectiveness and success of the employee(s) and the organizational strategic goals (DeCenzo & Robbins, (2010) p. 184 and 211). For example at my organization we do have very intense orientation and filtration due to state and federal compliance regulations that include FBI background investigation/clearance, some can easily get discouraged because cause of the compensation, but those who can manage to get permanent employment, 6 months after orientation, they qualify for $1,000 tuition reimbursement each semester for full time students in the approved fields; this is a very good career development program that can attract experienced and possible high skilled professionals that can benefit the organization. In regards to UPS Community Internship Program (CIP) as on Case 8-B I learned the importance of HRM to consider socialization skills, here UPS used CIP training its managers to socialize with residents in the communities as a way to attain skills of finding out workable solutions to transportation, housing, education and heal care problems that the community member endures, diversifying the management; and lesson here is the successful HRM expectations to CIP training graduates to be able to listen and become empathetic toward employees because now they know what they are enduring (DeCenzo & Robbins, (2010), p. 205-206).

So far in this course, HRMT600, personal learning were such as strategic HRM goals (p. 31-4), challenges, changes and evolution of HRM through globalization, cultures and technology (p. 4,5, 11), and the ability to distinguish amid functions of HRM, i.e. at the moment in this class I have clearly understood the employee discipline, and recruitment and selection process. In the employees’ disciplinary action, I have learned a great deal of dilemma between moral and legal issues. Of course, all the above and HRM functions as employer and organization management as a whole are expected to work under a certain set of rules and regulations (laws) developed by local, state and federal government. The most vicarious areas that I have become more enlightened from include the laws that HRM practice directly/discriminatory practices are such as, the Civil Rights Acts of 1866, 1964 and 1991, Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), American With Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, Equal Employment Opportunity Act (EEOA), Pregnancy Discrimination Act of 1978, Affirmative Action, The Family and Medical Leave Act of (FMLA) 1993 and Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) of 1994 (DeCenzo and Robbins, (2012), p. 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63 and 64). I learned that a successful HRM professional need to be a good adviser and liaison to the organization’s management and set policies and entire HRM practice within these set of laws, because law suits have negative repercussions on organization and need to be avoided whenever necessary. Understanding these laws has helped me, as a newly appointed HRM professional, to avoid possible legal and ethical conundrum. I have applied many of the laws to my personal learning because, recently, a staff person developed a nervous breakdown condition that, as a manager, I felt that she was not capable of performing her job sufficiently, but based on the Union contract and her job description there was not a clause that indicated I would be able to terminate her employment without legal consequences. Therefore, I started by progressive disciplinary action whenever there was an occurrence, such as, tardiness, and insubordination.

Discrimination In America? The Alternative Is Worse.

In my own country, region/province, town, village,  neighbors my blood are discriminating me because my mom is of the same tribe, Chagga-but from different area than my father's-my home, let alone all sorts of discrimination Africans endure from the within,  by fellow Africans/relatives,  at at the same time someone is dare to tell me discrimination is bad in AMERICA?  Wait a minute!

Then we could see Extremist Christians, Buddha, Hindu, and Atheist out there slaughtering people left and right, because they too live in these corrupt and poor countries with no economic upward mobility. I think President Obama has traveled in this journey for long now, it is that we are just catching up with him now, may be. He recently started to publicly brushing off the venom & barbaric acts of ISIS as JV league, slave owners and 1000 years ago Christian Crusaders. ISIS is terrorism at its core to fellow innocent Muslims, Christian Minorities and the citizens of the civilized world. You cannot compare them with anything else, especially with an almost a 1,000 year ago Christianity crusades. Winding down this year i will say that God has done wonders in our lives and he still does. God has proved to be good and great to us. We are not special, it is just the love of God.
My concern to you is If we, Valerian Family, do not stand up, firm, focused, vigilante and hold our ground dearly to take every measure possible to straighten our stand at home and our values, we will always be forced, by both outsiders and insiders, to revisit the very issues that are intended to destroy us i.e. our borders, our land, our home, our rights, our spiritual beliefs, our belongings, our freedom our our legacy for generations to come. Devil is the master liar, manipulator, receptor and illusionists. But our Baptism values tells us to ignore all these things from the devil and deny him any right to access us, moreover, to chase him out.  So we Valerian Family are chasing you out "devil".
