Rest In Peace Baba!

I didn't want to do this, but i have to. 5 years today, we lost our dearest beloved Father, Mawalimu Valerian Senior. R.I.P. Baba Pendo. We love you and we believe to meeting you again in the eternal peace. Because we believe and we are believers. I also would like to take this very opportunity to remember your parents Babu and Bibi, your brothers and sisters who are passed and survived by Aunt Florentina. May they also Rest In Peace and we miss them as much as we miss you because they were always parent figures to us and will always be.

Baba, we wish you could be here with us and your siblings ripping the fruits of your hard work raising and teaching us. But God had different plans for you all, as he has for us remained on the earth. We say thanks to God for everything because he is the master planner of our lives all. He is the almighty and king of all, the universe and the heaven, because his is God Jehovah. Nothing is greater than that.

All day today, i keep on saying over and over again, "Rest In Peace Baba, we love you and we believe that we will meet you again in the Eternal Peace" as we were promised, to vacate after our short journey here on the earth. I remember you saying to us that "we are just travelers on this earth, why building permanent settlement in stead of tents?" You further added that to "never let anyone walk all over you like grass because to give a human teeth that don't belong to him/her, he/she will eat stones and sand with them". These statements and many more, happened to be the greatest education and empowerment i ever received on this earth. All you taught us, all the parables and statements, you instilled in us never left and are become so real. I'm so proud of having that kind of upbringing and father-teacher figure in us because it makes us who we are and I intend to pass it on to the generations to come. I now adore "Mwalimu" figure than ever in my life. If one thing God can help with is to have a Mwalimu Memorial in remembrance of Babu as an informal Mwalimu (Church Elder) and you with your brothers who became Mwalimu as well. This "Mwalimu Memory" will be to pass on the "Mwalimu" dream and let it live on after you and us are long gone. It is a dream for the survival and lay concrete foundation of you, Babu and your brothers as pioneers of education and empowerment to the community and society.

May God bless Mama Pendo, all my siblings/your children and all our relatives and friends, who one way or the other were touched by your journey here on the earth. Thank you all, and we pray for more and enduring togetherness as we pass through this earth, my father's highest life legacy of empowering and teaching/educating others. God's mighty and his powers are always great. Amen!
