Second Amendment, Constitutional Right to Own a Gun
It is a sad story, not only to this father, but to all the parents and children out there. A New Fairfield, Connecticut Man Kills Masked Teen, Learns It Is His Son!!!! This story is still unfolding and developing. This is indeed a sad story of the weekend. Some may rush to gun control, seizing their attack on the second amendments, but I will tell you that one bad apple don't mean that all apples are bad. The question is again and again, as I discussed in my past blog posts, not only to rush to the gun-control measures that violate the constitutional right; rather to also balance with "self-control". Guns, like all other things, needs balance.
Without proper balance, having too much control or less control, will be harmful to all sorts of people. It is like consuming too much wine, that can cause alcohol-poisoning, or DUI, car accident and or violent behavior that can cause public discourse. But if one can balance and take only a glass of wine, will become healthier as studies have indicated so far. There is good fathers out there who have used their guns for self protection, target sporting and hunting and keep their sons, daughters and loved ones safe and healthy. That should be the focus to educate and measure self control that can assure everyone who qualifies this constitutional right and all rights. Focus on self-control and not gun-control.
May God heal the family and the community involved. To loose a son or loved one is not an easy thing. Let alone, to lose such a close person in the circumstances of this case makes it even harder. You all are in our thoughts and prayers.
