An Experiential Case Study of Leadership Issues Within The Organization

An Experiential Case Study of Leadership Issues Within The Organization

Mr. Valerian B-K. Masao II

Management-Leadership

Introduction to the Organization and Its Leadership

This student is working for a Not-For-Profit (NFP) organization that was established in 1833 providing a caring culture to support needy women and children through a foundling asylum program. The NFP organization’s initial programs have changed over the duration of time, but the needs of the clients, communities and families are still the same; i.e. to feel dignified, to receive comfort, to obtain guidance that mature, flourish quality and include productive human values. The mission of the NFP organization is to empower children, adults and families to build brighter futures; whereas its values are within its team of employees who are loyal and represent pride respect, optimism, accountability, leadership and service to others. The NFP organization leadership aim is to have a vibrant and learning organizational culture. For example, Fagiano (1994), talked about requirements for creating successful corporate culture change that is not only part of statements or philosophies; but rather from leadership and management collectively to consistently back up what they say with their actions strengthening the “change” attitudes at all levels and on the daily activities.

Happy Thanksgiving 2012!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all and your love ones. Thanksgiving is both spiritual and family tradition. Today all over America we are celebrating Thanksgiving. A day that most of us join fellow family members and close friends together celebrating a good meal, thanking God and catching up with where we left last year.

May God bless you all in this Thanksgiving. Enjoy your time with family and friends. Eat the good meal to nourish your body, which is the temple of God, and you spirit which is the resemblance of God. Also the Quality Time with family members is the most precious thing one can get, don't miss or ruin it. Teach your offspring the true value of Thanksgiving and not just the meal (Big Bird-Turkey, Color greens, Potato salad, Corn bread, Staffing, Mash potatoes and of course The American Pie), also the spiritual meaning of thanking God for the harvests and everything.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving.

Management: Examine Your Organization and Leadership

The organization that this student works for does honor trust and fosters open communication by using a number of programs such as mandatory biweekly supervision meetings between program managers and Direct Care Workers (DCW)/employees, strengthen the open door policy, whereby DCWs can walk in to any supervisor and discuss their issues of concern, and the readily available cellphones, internets and intranet networks are available for DCWs to communicate their daily activities and issues of their concern faster without dissertation of the third party’s involvement. The new CEO understands that trust and open communications comes from the organization’s ability to tap on its employees’ interpersonal abilities which will make a difference interacting one another by improving the over-all communication skills (Newson, 2010).

A study shows that America has the highest maternal death rate of any industrialized or developed nations.

A study shows that America has the highest maternal death rate of any industrialized or developed nations. The study further that America comes behind the 30 developed countries for mothers’ well-being. “An American woman is more than seven times as likely as one in Ireland to die from pregnancy-related causes and her maternal death risk is 15 times that in Greece” (Duel, 2011), report said.

GOP/Conservatives/Republican Control Over Women Through Hypocrisy Of Faith and Values

For all GOP, Conservatives and my fellow Christians, who we all believe in God and trinity for the better days in the life after death which is the eternal-peace, please understand, democracy is not a religion and rape or abortion is not the only sin our Lord Jesus died on the cross, crucified, for. Such hypocrisy and soft barbaric dominance of women as properties is sad to experience in this day and age. If you are not a family member (including a relationship between the subjects-a man and woman) or a woman herself, then who are you as politician(s) to make decision on a pregnant woman? Are you a professional licensed OB/GYN doctor? If not, then who are you to impose your faith and beliefs on to others? I thought we are living in the free country where everyone has a right to belief even if it may seem wrong belief to others, but it is a personal belief that should not be imposed on to others through a rule of law. People believe in whatever they believe.

Obama Won The 3rd Debate and Romney Conveniently Confused Us Again

Obama-Romney 3rd Presidential Debate October 2012

By far Obama won this debate for taking leadership and been vindicated for making unpopular yet-critical decisions for America; and the new Romney showed up and conveniently confused us all about Who He Is and What He Stands For, by walking away from all the positions and decisions he has made in the course of this election campaigns. It wasn't the Romney we knew, heard and seen before. Romney conveniently denounced everything he stood for all along from the primaries and now he is endorsing Obama to unseat him from the presidency. How wearied? It was like Obama debating on himself and his conscious-self. This was unmasked and masked Romney who in one minute agreed to what Obama is doing and next minute disagreed and didn't stood up for what he has lived up for in the entire campaign/election season. He is conveniently Fillip-flopping to win both ways that is not leadership in the world stage as leader of the free-world.

Altering the Corporate DNA: Article Review

Management Organization Development By Mr. Valerian B-K. Masao II

Deoxyribo-Nucleic Acid (DNA) is the biological (genes) and chemical makeup of all living things. It encodes and transmits genetic information that is important in identifying living organisms and components of organisms, which is a hereditary process (Le Page, 2011).    Corporate DNA is made up of complex and unique individuals of an organization. To understand the term DNA,  how it functions as one system or as subsystems collectively and working together as one system/organism will help the OD professional by analyzing functions of a single employee that translates to groups and whole organization’s employees collectively in a systemic way.  An organization is made up of people with cultures and beliefs, which are the underlying aspects that will need to be addressed by the OD professionals during corporate culture change (Fagiano, 1994). Any small misunderstanding from the OD team can cause a growing seed of resistance. Also, it is very important to clarify such misunderstanding at an early stage. Thus, OD professionals must understand how to persuade each and every individual at all levels within the organization, as well as, cooperating and implementing the OD functions, which are the organizational goals.
The article, Altering the Corporate DNA, is the reinvention of corporate culture, which in many cases is when an organization changes the way its employees are carrying out their daily duties by making production of goods and services more effective and in an efficient way. This process is the main function of the OD. Fagiano, (1994), said that “to shift a culture you must shift a collection of belief” (4).  An OD professional must understand that implementing OD is not only to merely make general declarations and expressions about the need for the organization to change, but also to follow up these words with actions of change.

CULTURAL CHANGE THAT STICKS: ARTICLE REVIEW

Management: Organizational Development By: Mr. Valerian B-K. Masao II

08/12/2012

The cultural change that Sticks is an article that was published by the Harvard Law Review, profiling the Organization Development (OD) that was responsible for change at Aetna. Aetna’s business model was under attack going through law-suits and its economy was declining. According to Katzenbach, Steffen & Kronley, (2012), most if not all, of Aetna’s problems were caused by its old corporate culture, “Mother Aetna”, that was in the making for approximately 150 years. They further that Aetna’s culture advocated for very risky and unprofessional practices tolerated by its management and leadership.

2nd Presidential Debate, October 2012

Listen!!!!! If it sounds so good to be true, then it is. We know Obama and we have seen him. Romney and Ryan:- Voucher on Medicaid/SS as cure for the entitlements, Voucher system as solution for the education, ER as healthcare plan, Self-deportation as comprehensive immigration plan, unregulated Wall Street as economy financial plan, tax cut for the millionaire as economy plan, drill baby and coal without environmental concern as energy plan, Sells-man words as credible pitch for leadership at critical times, war and threats as foreign policy, new-one-today that TO HAVE 2PARENTS is the gun control plan, and writing off 47% Americans as irresponsible citizens, then America will follow the Bain Capital strategy of doing business. How did that got the employees and communities??????????? Few investors benefited chunk of salvaged companies/industries.

Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and Mark Levin For Truth???????????

Get Ready America!! For His Secrete Deals, Plans and Behind closed doors promises. He is going to stick it into you the middle class so bad cause your are hardened to pay attention; and it is going to hurt badly. Remember the math you lean in school, Arithmetic. Do your math and make decisions, or someone else is going to do it for you if that is what you want. Don't complain later for your amnesia. Look back where you came from and focus by contemplating the road ahead of you. If it sounds too good to be true then it is. You go figure, American People.

Obama Got Big Bin Laden As Foreign Policy Strength And Mitt Romney Will Fire Big Bird As Deficit Reduction Plan

Mitt Romney is ready to erase a scion of the American culture, Sesame Street, by cutting PBS aid that represents only 0.005% of the federal budget. He don’t know what PBS is, he has passed a test of saying anything to any given group of people so long he think that is what they want to hear, typical Mitt Romney. Even if he knows what PBS is for millions of American, he doesn’t care. His answer is go get a cable, like as if everyone has a cable. This are small things to him, but he don’t get it that they do matter to millions of us and our families.

David Bee: Mitt Romney Debates Himself

Mitt Romney Debates Himself

David Bee“Mitt Romney, 10/3/12: I will not reduce the taxes paid by high income Americans..
Mitt Romney, 2/22/12: There were so many misrepresentations in there it's going to take me a little while. Number one, I said today that we're going to cut taxes on everyone across the country by twenty percent—including the top one percent…Mitt Romney, 10/3/12: The key to great schools? Great teachers. So I reject the idea that I don't believe in great teachers or more teachers…Mitt Romney, 6/8/12: He says we need more firemen, more policemen, more teachers. Did he not get the message of Wisconsin? The American people did. It's time for us to cut back on government…Mitt Romney, 10/3/12: Actually, it's a lengthy description, but number one, per-existing conditions are covered under my plan…Mitt Romney, 3/27/12: If they're 45 years old and they show up and they say I want insurance because I've got heart disease, it's like: "Hey guys, we can't play the game like that." You've got to get insurance when you're well, and then if you get ill, then you're going to be covered…The only thing you can trust about Mitt Romney is that he'll say whatever he thinks he needs to say, to get what he wants.”

Gov. Romney Roars At Obama On The October 3rd 2012 Presidential Debate

Obama/Romney Debate, Denver, CO. October 3rd 2012

With my independent lens, like many of Americans who watched the debate last night Gov. Romney was lively and actively pushing for his points with argument and counter argument strategy. While president Obama looked inferior, defenseless and to some points professorial. Sometimes, he has to answer question in a simple and clear cut ways. Gov. Romney did that very often. Gov. Romney gave a lot of opening that President Obama could Crack wide open but he did not do it. Another thing is President Obama did not look comfortable and did little to look up, lifting up his head and live up to the moment defending himself.

New Fairfield, Connectcut Man Kills Masked Teen, Learns It Is His Son!!!! Focus on Self-Control and Not Gun-Control

Second Amendment, Constitutional Right to Own a Gun

It is a sad story, not only to this father, but to all the parents and children out there. A New Fairfield, Connecticut Man Kills Masked Teen, Learns It Is His Son!!!! This story is still unfolding and developing. This is indeed a sad story of the weekend. Some may rush to gun control, seizing their attack on the second amendments, but I will tell you that one bad apple don't mean that all apples are bad. The question is again and again, as I discussed in my past blog posts, not only to rush to the gun-control measures that violate the constitutional right; rather to also balance with "self-control". Guns, like all other things, needs balance.

Gov. Mitt Romney Means Exactly what He Says, 19985 or 2012 Video Clips

Gov. Mitt Romney means exactly what he says and not otherwise. The facts that support his "narrative" that he is out of touch are enormous.  In 1985 Gov. Romney Said that Bain Capital Would "Harvest Companies for Profit". http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/09/1985-romney-bain-harvest-firms-profits-video He lead that agenda as business strategy. Psychology of mind is that it takes a huge process of human organs to mention something, and any sane person must mean what they say. It is just politicians gives us dumb excuses why say it or twisting the meaning of what they mean and or say, only when it hurts them personally. In the psychology of mind we call such people, Mitt Romney in this case, manipulators. It is just that Romney is not good at manipulating people because he lives in the cage or burble of 1%. But he is good at intimidating people because he lives in his own universe with fellow 1%. It is not so good burble to be as a politician.

“I Like Being Able To Fire People”; Gov. Romney’s Narrative

"I Like Being Able To Fire People" Gov. Romney

He said that he likes to "fire People”. Then later on, he is complaining that he cannot help them because the same people he fired feel that are victims and depends on government. Then, he furthered that these people, 47% Americans, need to take responsibility of their lives. These are good Americans of all creeds. They are old paid in Medicare and Social Security, served in the military to keep us all safe, single parents because husband either served and now are Veterans without help or difficulty life circumstances. Not everyone is as lucky as you are Governor, you got it good and that is a good thing. But, the problem is Gov. Romney wants to become the New President of the United States of America and he feels this way about the people he is about to lead. Narrative that is shocking, look at the links bellow since 1985 when he was the CEO of Bain Capital. In 1985 Gov. Romney Said Bain Capital Would "Harvest Companies for Profit".   http://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/09/1985-romney-bain-harvest-firms-profits-video

Independent Mind Set On The 2012 US General Election Debates Fever

2012 US General Election Electoral College Map
The notion that Liberals don’t support the “Freedom Of Speech” is bogus and ideological belief that has no facts whatsoever. What propaganda that feeds all sorts of angry and unchanging ears!? If they did, I guess you and I couldn't even write and or read this post in this blog. It is just hate on Obama from first day before even he issued any policy; he was proclaimed failure in the GOP mind-set. America has freedom of speech and true freedom period, than any other nation on the earth. I can attest that, and I’m the fruit of the American freedom. Out there in the world, freedom is an expensive thing, it is been bought by cash or blood, bribing or dying exchanging for a rightfully services that Americans takes for granted here at home. I urge you to get out of America and see for yourself. If you have lived oversees and still think the same, then I question your competence on what freedom means. "You don't know what you got until when you lose it". This say is so true now than ever before.

In the Long Run, Is the GOP Dead? By Patrick J. Buchanan

Since 1928, only Dwight Eisenhower and George W. Bush have won the presidency while capturing both houses of Congress for the GOP.

In his 49-state landslide, Richard Nixon failed to take either House. In his two landslides, Ronald Reagan won back only the Senate. Yet Mitt Romney is even money to pull off the hat trick.
With this hopeful prospect, why the near despair among so many Republicans about the long term?

In his New York Times report, "In California, GOP Fights Steep Decline," Adam Nagourney delves into the reasons.

What Makes a Strategy a Winner?

Strategy is to put a plan of action by adapting principles that are designed to accomplish a specific and or general goal (Thompson, Strickland and Gamble, 2008). Therefore, an organization does need a strategy that can define its mission, goals and strengths counter to its opponents. In this day and age the advanced technology and constantly changing markets have made it imperative for an organization to not only understand the need to of strategy, rather its important for the organization to successfully analyze and carry its daily activities.

Best Buy’s Strategy & Competitiveness Advantage

Best Buy

Best Buy’s strategy is to remain the leading house-hold name in America by differentiating from its rival distinctively and attracting more customers into its products and services (Thompson, Strickland and Gamble, 2008). Best Buy is a Multi-national Corporation operating mainly in North America, Asia and Europe. It is a household name because there is no living room in America that does not have product that can be found or was bought in the Best Buy outlet stores. Best Buy is the leading multi-conduit global retailer and developer of technology products and services (Best Buy, 2012).
Its strategy is the ability to form acquisition with other companies as a way to integrate services and products into its retail stores and win the markets by offering an array of services and products which benefits its portfolio. According to its web-site data, Best Buy’s strategy is evident of unwavering relationships with its suppliers i.e. Samsung, AT&T, Apple, Verizon, HP, Dell, Sony, LG, WD, Wii, Toshiba, RCA, On Star, and many more (Best Buy, 2012).
Toward winning competitive advantages, Best Buy has restructuring and transformation strategy that will allow them to be better equipped to accept changes and challenges that are brought by new technologies, time and space. This strategy has allowed Best Buy to refocus into profitable markets by closing some outlet stores in Asia and Europe because its data shows that North America is its most profitable markets (Best Buy, 2012).

9-11 Commemoration, “United We Stand”

 9/11 Commemoration, "United We Stand

Today, September 11th 2012 we are remembering the day that America was attacked by the terrorists and it took away about 3,000 innocent lives. It has been a good eleven years since the terrorist attack and the wounds are still fresh as the incident is fresh in our memories. There is an old saying my grandmother used to say to her adversaries “I can forgive you, but I will not forget what you have done to me”. Looking at people and listen to all sort of news outlets and individuals here in America, the attitude is similar to the quote above. Understandably, people have forgiveness, but rightly will never forget this event. It is the right thing for us all to remember this day and give thanks to the innocent souls of servicemen and women, travelers and bystanders who were helping to serve lives of other, but instead theirs got taken away. Together, these men and women were good people doing the right thing that ordinary Americans always feels obliged to do throughout the history of this great nation.

Back To school and First Timers

This week, like many parents we had to take our kids school, first timers or new class, or new class mates or new teachers. We then listen to their after-school stories which are fascinating. As we drop them off and watch them learn their ways in the new class and scrambling looking for their old friend it tells us something unique, especially when our “K” daughter looking for her Pre-K friends and heart broken when some were not there. For our son, he was the first timer, in the day care; all he looked for just toys and friends, forging new friends in life. It is so innocent and full of life kind of style. I wish we, adults, were just like that instead of been so calculative and cautious of what would, might, should and could have gone wrong.

DIAGNOSTIC ANALYSIS: Organizational Management Spring of 201

Mr. Valerian B-K. Masao II

Instructor: Dr. Bruce Johnson American Public University (APUS) July 2012
I work for a not-for-profit organization that was established in the year 1800, as the Benevolent Society of NY Capital District to assist indigent women, children and orphan asylum. Currently, the organization cares for children and adults with developmental disabilities (special developmental, emotional, and behavioral needs) with their families. It is the multi-service organization i.e. providing residential programs, group homes, behavioral juvenile school campus, a day treatment program, clinical services, crisis intervention, respite services, and in-home parent assistance programs. Although, over duration of time the faces of the organization and programs have transformed since its establishment, the needs of the youth, individuals and families remain continuous to feel safe, to receive quality care, to receive comfort and to grow and thrive. Thus, the goals have transformed and diversified due to new community demands and the mission remained the same. The overtime organizational transformation on goals, structure and design is the proof of what Morgan, (1989), illustrated as, “today’s solutions shapes tomorrow’s problems” (35).

The 2012 Democratic National convention

2012 DNC

President Bill Clinton call for “arithmetic” is the political blow to the GOP than anything else during Democratic National Convention of 2012. I remember taking arithmetic in high school and boy it was fun and revealing. This call of us doing arithmetic is resonating than anything else. If I were GOP calling and pledging for more tax cut in this economy I will listen to the humor of President Obama on the GOP prescription on the bad economy.  It is that simple, with this bad economy tax cut is no brainier. The trickle down philosophy of past decade has brought us into our knees. Adding Gov. Romney tax rate, refusal to release tax return, controversial investments and off-shore banking I could be careful talking to majority of Americans who bears the loss of Wall Street and poor policies that brought this crisis.

Gov. Romney Claimed That President Obama Don’t Understand Risk Taking

Gov. Romney Address RN 2012

In the 2012 Republican National Convention Gov. Romney claimed that President Obama doesn’t understand free markets and that growth needs risk takers. He furthered that entrepreneurs need to take risks in business and investments and that is nature of private sector. Also he said that some risks work out well and some don’t turn out the way we projected them to be; and that is the beauty of free markets.

Republican National Convention: Gov. Jeb Bush Call For Schools Reform

 RNC 2012 Republican National Convention

At 2012 Republican National Convention, I listened to Gov. Jeb Bush calling for schools reform while many GOP stake-holders rambling on shallow and contradictory policies toward foreign policy, taxes, economy and social issues. In this instance of School reform that calls for more choices and flexibility I couldn't agree more with Gov. Jeb Bush’s call. The most important of all is his push for choices to parents and children that are so needed. As parent, to be locked in the zip codes, just a block away to my children’s success is very disturbing. Something that led me to take them miles attending private school. When come to schools we are limited by politicians and bureaucrats, it shouldn't be that way. It is frustrating and lowering our education standards.

A Year After Hurricane Irene Devastation

Today Upstate New York and much of the North-East are observing a year after the devastation that was caused by the Hurricane Irene. I remember I was coming from Utica, Central New York, and the storm had started about 1 AM. My family and I were driving, it was pouring so bad I could barely see what was in front of me.

Congressman Paul Ryan You Are Not Responsible Leader As You Claim To Be

Congressman Ryan, you aint responsible leader as you claim to be; it is a far stretch and political chase. Passing just budget that has partisan ideology without regards to all Americans is not being responsible leader as you are going around the country pondering you and Governor Romney are great leaders. Great leaders get things done and doing so responsibly. Not all Americans do have amnesia, remember that. You as great leader you claim to be, voted for all the wars that were not paid for and voted for increased spending when President Bush was in the office. But when Obama became president you became the leader of the part of “NO” to everything supporting President Obama to win in the economy. The win in the economy is winning to America. Your number one job was and is to make sure President Obama is not win reelection. In the process you and your party held American progress in hostage. You want your century back because Obama is in the office. We hear that we know that and you as GOP leader said and did just that. You want your country back from whom? I wonder, from president Obama? How about Congress as whole passing bills that can become law instead of wasting tax payers’ money by passing bills that are rooted to bridge to nowhere? That is fraud to pass something that you know and you engineered the environment for it to be defeated and not to become law.

My Father’s Legacy

If you are the father to children or have your father alive today, right this moment, tell and show them that you love them. Life is too short to bicker around and lose the life time opportunity to become the greatest child to your "parents" or the greatest parents to your "children". Tell them how precisely you feel about them. Even if you are angry at them, disagreeing with them, have hatred toward them or you are dishonest toward them. At least they know and you know the raw truth and that is to make peace with them. Explicitly become clean to yourself and to them.

Overt Discrimination in Ohio

Published: August 14, 2012
If you live in Butler or Warren counties in the Republican-leaning suburbs of Cincinnati, you can vote for president beginning in October by going to a polling place in the evening or on weekends. Republican officials in those counties want to make it convenient for their residents to vote early and avoid long lines on Election Day.
But, if you live in Cincinnati, you’re out of luck. Republicans on the county election board are planning to end early voting in the city promptly at 5 p.m., and ban it completely on weekends, according to The Cincinnati Enquirer. The convenience, in other words, will not be extended to the city’s working people.

The Independent Lens On 2012 General Elections: Are Governor Romney's Tax Rate & Tax Returns An Insult To American People?

On the Tax Rates: Governor Mitt Romney produced only one year of Tax return. We know he paid taxes at required tax level as per Bush-Tax-Cuts Act/Law. What is puzzling is the rate Mr. Romney and his fellows pays in taxes and vow to strive to serve them more tax-cuts as soon as he wins the election. They will throw everything on the kitchen sink because they really don’t want to go back to President Clinton-era of prosperity for all by paying taxes equally by percentage as per income. I understand that this world is fair by all means, but with the current economy and unbalanced systemic advantages to rich getting richer and poor are getting poorer; it exceptionally not fair to favor the rich to pay low percentage over the poor or middle class who are paying higher percentage. The loop-holes Governor Romney and his fellows uses, Capital Gain Tax-Rates, are as bad as not paying taxes. How could anyone think of creating jobs by cutting PELL grants, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security and Cut Taxes to the millionaires at the same time? With my glimpse of economics I don’t get it.

Gun Control? How About Self Control?

This issue is the mankind self-destruction by the self-fulfilling prophesy. I happened to believe different than most people, may be. It is interesting when we see shooting everyone gets out and blame the gun but not the person behind the gun and pulled the trigger. These gun shooting stories that are intending to tell us all that guns are killing people. They are as strange as the people who commit these killings either by guns or by whatever they find it necessary to execute their killing plans. Here is my taking on this, many of analysis and logical independent thinkers will support this. Why is the gun not in the courts and or in the jails with the people who are sentenced of murder or massacre? It is logic to me that it obvious, to all the gun control peoples, that the guns have shown and proven to have the complete control of the situation and fired themselves and premeditated the murders miraculously. The irony of the obsessed gun control people is that the person behind the gun was just holding it and had nothing to do with it, its action or consequences. But my logic is that a person behind the gun has premeditated or intended to go pick up the gun, aim at the target and pull the trigger that killed person/peoples.

Rep: Paul Ryan Is The Governor Romney’s VP Choice: The Austerity Cuts Politics

Today, the Massachusetts’s Governor Mitt Romney and the GOP Presidential nominee has selected Congressman Pau Ryan of Wisconsin and Chairman of Congressional Budgeting Committee to be his Vice President and running mate in the November 6th 2012 general elections. Paul Ryan has been the shining star of the Tea-Party and conservative movement, which has mixed of many things but not the politics of growth spending and tax increase for even a cent. Movements are not monogamy, but are often driven by common cause with ideology; one can characterize Tea-Party as such. Congratulations Congressman Paul Ryan.

My Independent Mind On 2012 General Election Issues

Taxation: If you don’t want to pay tax or you think American government is too big for you why not leave for Somalia where there is no tax or government on your back? I have not seen these so called business people who hate Obama moving their business to Somalia yet. Also the businesses in Romney's counter ad on this issue, the one in New Hampshire received about $88,000 of stimulus money. Did any individual person received any single cash sent? We have been in this road of tax cut on the rich for long. The positions on policies indicate that bankers and outsources are for super profit and Romney is their pick candidate; they will spend their billions in this election and many to come, but they won’t be able to buy our votes as individuals.

Life Is A Dream

Happy Sunday Every One.

As believer and follower of Christ, life is indeed a dream. It depends on how one wants life to be. One can make life fantastic or miserable. It depends on what one is aspiring to be and do. In life, as dream, some are just dreams, some are dreams and worked upon, fruitful dreams. We call that a dream that became true and those dont materialize we call them just "day dreams". Life and or a dream are metaphors. Smart people untangle them and analyze them well. Their path in life are well defined and understood by many. They can be be our hero, legends, iconic, and role models. They were given same talents as us. They just got theirs right analyzing the metaphors.

Obama Is A S.O.G.

All I know is Romney is schizophrenic because he stands for nothing, mandate that he introduced in Massachusetts, now he is running away from it, the Bain capital now he is running away from it too, foreign policy of not stressing on Killing OBL and Al-Qaida now he is running away from it, and the Afgan Surge that too he is running away from it.

Happy Father’s Day To all Fathers: The Enlightenment Of Fatherhood:

Today, the world is celebrating Fathers’ day. Fatherhood is the sacred gift given from God with great responsibility to nurture and raise kids to become responsible members of the community and the society. Fatherhood is the quintessential role that has huge stake on how society ought to be. Collectively, fatherhood, likewise motherhood, through parenting we make up the families, communities and the society in generations. Therefore, fatherhood as the role model in parenting should be celebrated every second, minute, hour, day, week, month and year that we raise and empower children. This role is not only to be assumed today by the materialistic gifts and moments as we commemorate the “Fathers’ Day”, rather to be cherished in each second when we make multiple tough and decisions on parenting. We need to grasp the reality that each and every decision we make as parents, small and big, do have negative or positive outcome to our children today or tomorrow. This is the fact that too often get ignored in the decision making process of parenting and many will wander why thing and or life to our teenagers and children are playing out contrary to the parents’ wishes.

Reflection on Cultural Competency: Identify the major cultural and economic groups in your target community or focal area.

My targeted community, East Utica, major culture groups are divided in race chronologically, such as white, African American or African or Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American or West Indian, and least Arabs. On the economic groups are based on various categories, such as race and social life such as level of education. For example in, my neighborhood, whites are majority by race and their economic level is affluent, followed by Asian and Arabs, compare to the African American, Hispanic and Native American. In my neighborhood, economic status tends to be better from individual to individual based on the level of education, the more one is educated the better of economically is; in this case, Asians then Africans are better of by ratio.

Case Studies Euthanasia, Assisted Suicide, and Palliative Care; Legal and Ethical Issues In The Healthcare: Critically Ill and Dying

After reading chapter 11 in the Tong book, answer the Case Study questions for the four case studies at the end of the chapter, pp. 285-288. Post your answers here. Connect your answers to the readings.

Case Study #1
Q. a
On Mr. Najiri’s case, physician may have raised a serving no usefulness purpose of medication to Mr. Najiri’s condition that justifies discontinuation of artificial means of life support due to Shiite Muslims belief. However, the physician justified his/her position that Mr. Najiri’s brain dead means no life, and no medical treatment is possible according to main stream American values when he/she said that “in the United States brain death is death” {Tong, 2007 p.286}.  Regardless of Shiite Muslim faith, since Mr. Najiri is in America and physician has pronounce his brain dead and further ruling out that since Mr. Najiri’s brain is dead “the hospital will no longer continue to support his cardiac functions artificially”. {Tong, 2007 p.186}. Because professionally physicians are trusted by American community to evaluate and treat patients and that only a physician can pronounce death, on Mr. Najiri’s case the family members would have to abide by physician’s decisions or transfer him to another hospital outside of America for further treatment that can fulfill their faith and belief of death.

Legal and Ethical Issues In The Healthcare: Case Study The Professional Patient Relationship

On question a I believe that the medical staff met their obligation of diagnosing Lincoln’s sickness, which was “severe anemia due to hemorrhaging” by Tong 2007, and were able to explain the care plan procedure and its importance, his physician recommended blood transfusion immediately before his lost his consciousness. (Tong, R. 2007p.58)

I understand that faith of Jehovah’s Witnesses does not allow them to agree to blood transfusions for themselves or their children. Because they believe that blood transfusion is the same as eating blood and is prohibited by the Holly Bible. (http://www.towerwatch.com/Witnesses/Beliefs/their_beliefs.htm) However, as physician I would have go ahead and transfuse blood on Lincoln, because the ethical responsibilities of healthcare staff is to serve life’s within their capabilities as such powers are vested to them upon licensure. As a healthcare staff on the scene of such incident, Lincoln was willing for blood transfusion after the merit of such practice were explained to him by his medical staffs. He was competent enough to understand and he showed signs of acceptance of treatment. Therefore transfusion to Lincoln is of his best interest and not otherwise. (Tong, R. 2007p.58)
